未經修改的原版經典三部曲（EP IV-EP VI）推出Blu-Ray的新聞已非第一次傳出，我們早前曾報導，近日再度傳出相關消息。
美國導演John Landis在接受訪問時透露Blu-Ray推出事宜，指他的消息來自星戰之父George Lucas；如消息屬實，這意味著迪士尼影業與Lucasfilm必須跟20th Century Fox相討合作事宜，因20th Century Fox在2020年前仍擁有EP I – EP VI的發行權，而EP IV《Star Wars: A New Hope》的發行權則是永久擁有。
外媒形容這是十分可信的消息，因未經修復的經典三部曲（EP IV-EP VI）有著實際市場需求，亦是現有粉絲們願意花錢購買的版本，所以推出Blu Ray事最終會落實，而未來新星戰電影上映時正是推出的好時機。
