星戰電影在重啓以來一直多次傳出 Obi-Wan Kenobi 個人電影的消息，然而一直也是空穴來風。在過去兩天，多間美國娛樂傳媒 Deadline、Cinelinx報導：傳聞 Ewan McGregor 將在即將推出的迪士尼的自家線上影音串流平台 Disney+ 上，演出 Obi-Wan Kenobi 影集系列。
其後權威娛樂傳媒 Hollywood Reporter 的編輯 Borys Kit 證實：引述消息，Ewan McGregor正與迪士尼談判，演出6-8集 Obi-Wan Kenobi 真人影集。
