引述同好網站 Star Wars Legacy 獨家消息，第二部外傳電影《Solo: A Star Wars Story》的首條預告將於美國時間 1月12日，在新聞節目《早安美國》（Good Morning America）中播放。
首部外傳電影《Rogue One: A Star Wars Story》的首條預告也是在同樣的節目優先播放，因此以上消息可信性頗高，在電影 EP VIII 完結後，電影Solo 的宣傳工作終於要展開了。

第二部星戰外傳電影由Ron Howard 執導（Christopher Miller和Phil Lord為第一任導演），劇本由父子檔Lawrence Kasdan和Jon Kasdan共同編寫，年輕的Han Solo由Alden Ehrenreich演出，其他演員包括Emilia Clarke、Woody Harrelson、Donald Glover（年輕Lando Calrissian）、Thandie Newton、Phoebe Waller-Bridge、Joonas Suotamo（年輕Chewbacca）。
故事時間設定在EP III和EP IV之間，講述年輕Han Solo如何變成一個走私客、流氓，及成長成一名英雄，同時將讓大家知道Han Solo如何與Lando及Chewbacca相遇，電影預定在2018年5月25日上映。
