另外曾执导《蚁人》和《蚁人2》的Peyton Reed，同样星战日在社交平台宣布将执导《The Mandalorian》第二季（至少一集），同样也释出一张幕后照片。

影集原创人 Jon Favreau 表示他和 Dave Filoni (卡通剧集 The Clone Wars 的执行制片人) 也会执导至少一集。加上早前宣布 Rosario Dawson 将在《The Mandalorian》第二季演出Ahsoka Tano，第二季太令人期待了。
《The Mandalorian》第二季在三月份已经完成了制作，并暂定在 2020 年秋季放映。影集设定在电影 EP VI 与电影 EP VII 之间，讲述 First Order 崛起前，主角 The Mandalorian 在银河系边缘的故事。
